+1 :)
It's not quite Christmas dinner, but if you can stomach the prices you could always try a meal at his restaurant the fat duck. The tasting menu is probably the kind of thing you're after.
A mate of mine ate there a year or so back, and said it was worth every penny. He was particularly taken with the Snail Porridge(!)

Here's an idea: Publicly declare your intention to burn through $5m in a year with nothing to show for it i.e. Brewsters millions style. Blog about your progress & adventures, Sell advertising space on the blog, auction off a few event invites to followers etc...
Would you break even at the end of it all?
Either way it'd be one hell of a year! :)

Another bloglines user here. One thing particularly I like is the disposable email addresses for the few newsletter-only puyblishers out there. I tried the early versions of Google Reader and didn't get on with it, must give it another try tho.
I agree it's not the prettiest reader around though if that all that really bothers you, you can change the appearance with a custom CSS file easily enough e.g. there's an OSX-themed skin for macheads.

No, facebook doesn't notify you if your friendship request was rejected. You can also ignore a friendship request and it will eventually disappear from your list without the other person being notified.
If you remove someone from your friends list it doesn't notify them either, but they will probably notice eventually as you will no longer show up in their friend list.

Reliable & Vista in one sentence, now there's something you don't see very often ;)
2 upgrades and no problems so far, though I think Leopard is rather underwhelming. Anyone queuing to get it is either easy to please, or going to be sorely disappointed.
I can't say what it's reliability is like compared to Vista, but I'd say it compares with the XP boxes i still run. I like to tinker and rarely have problems with XP or OS X. No OS is going to save you if you tinker around with it and don't know what you're doing.
One of many reasons I switched to OS X as my primary OS was because it allowed me to play with Unix shell commands. I'm with @sxoop though - they're just computers, and all the fan boy/religious devotion is really quite funny to watch.

If you want it, just configure your IMAP client to talk to Gmail and it works, you don't need to wait for the UI update. This guide has all the settings.
Enjoy :)
